At Whiskers Retreat, grooming is more than a routine—it’s a luxury spa-like experience, just for cats. Think of it as a spa day where every detail is centred around their comfort, wellbeing, and beauty.

To make things even easier, I offer a mobile service, meaning I come directly to your home. This keeps your cat comfortable in familiar surroundings—no noisy salons, no stressful car rides, and no dogs. I’m passionate about maintaining a cat-only environment, because cats deserve care that is tailored to their specific needs. You have the option to choose the mobile service or drop off, not forgetting the flexibilty of my business hours which allows me to be convenient for each and every one my cat clients.

My brand-new mobile cat salon  van conversion and external wrapping were completed in June 2026— so I’ll now officially on the road! Some services will still be available in your home, depending on your cat’s comfort and the type of groom required.

Cats are truly at the heart of everything I do. I share my home with two beautiful Maine Coon sisters, Gaia and Bella, who inspired me to start this journey. Plus, we have welcomed a new addition – Koppany, a male kitten Maine Coon! I am offically known as the crazy cat lady……

I took my baby boy to see Emma today for his first groom and to remove some matted clumps. Emma was so welcoming and kind and Bear had such a lovely time! I originally booked an earlier date for my cats first grooming however due to the heatwave she was quite unsettled and we had to reschedule for a week or so afterwards. Throughout this Emma was very efficient in replying to messages and concerns as well finding a day that worked for the both of us. My cat was very content this time and looks very well groomed!!! I took my cat Betsy (who is part Ragdoll and doesn’t usually like to be brushed) to Emma and she did a fantastic job. All her mats and extra fur were removed and she even gave her a dry shampoo so she came back smelling lovely. I was a bit apprehensive as I’d taken Betsy to a different groomer previously and she was very distressed during the appointment and the groomer found it very difficult. However, Emma made Betsy feel very relaxed and said she didn’t find her difficult at all. Betsy seemed her usual self when she came back,  which was a big difference compared to my previous experience. Emma also kept me updated during the appointment and asked further questions about what I wanted done. She also sent some photos (attached) and gave me a lot of reassurance. I honestly couldn’t recommend this cat groomer enough! ❤️ I brought my Maine Coon here for her very first grooming appointment ever, and she is extremely nervous and easily scared, so I was really worried about how she would handle it. From the moment we arrived, she was treated with so much patience, kindness and professionalism. During the appointment, the groomer was amazing and even sent me photos to show that my cat was doing well and feeling comfortable. This was such a lovely touch and really helped to reassure me, as I was nervous too and wanted to know she was okay. All the mats and tangles from her undercoat were removed beautifully, and she came out looking amazing — but most importantly, she was calm, relaxed and happy! 🐱✨ I am so impressed with the result and my cat is clearly feeling much more comfortable. I’m a very happy owner! The groomer is incredibly professional, gentle and knowledgeable. The salon is spotless, clean and welcoming, which made me feel completely confident leaving my cat there. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my girl and making her first grooming experience such a positive one. We will definitely be coming back! Emma was fantastic with my British semi longed hair British diva cat who had never been professionally groomed before.From the moment I contacted Emma with some questions through to her leaving after the amazing groom she gave my cat she was professional and kind and you can tell she truly has a way with cats. The amount of time and care she took with the groom and ensuring my Millie wasnt distressed in anyway throughout made it so much better for me as well. I’m so happy with all the excess fur and under fur that was removed Millie will be so much cooler and happier now and it will be easier for her and me to keep up with between appointments. We recently took our cat Tom to Emma the Cat Groomer for a taster grooming session and honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. Tom is a very nervous cat normally, so we were worried about how he’d react, but Emma was amazing with him from start to finish. She was incredibly calm, patient and clearly very experienced with cats, and Tom actually seemed relaxed and comfortable with her which is rare for him. His coat looked so much healthier and tidier afterwards, and Emma kindly sent us photos and videos after the session which was a lovely touch and really reassuring to see. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she works with and takes real pride in what she does. We were so happy with the experience that we’ve already booked Tom in again and can’t wait to bring him back for his next sessions. After months of trying to sort clumps of fur on our elderly arthritic cat ourselves, Emma transformed the coat within 25 mins with a blend of gentle combing to tease out where possible, and a narrow quiet shaver where it wasn't. Even after 25 mins cat showed no signs of stress. Great service: aware of need to tailor to what an individual cat will tolerate; a number of options including your home for where cat is seen; and very fair pricing. I took my boy Bluey to get groomed as he was in desperate need! Bluey is a very nervous timid boy and when it comes to grooming he is very independent and doesn’t want anyone else doing it! I was definitely worried he wouldn’t be compliant when bringing him here, but after speaking with Emma, he was an absolute angel boy and loved every minute of his groom! He looks absolutely incredible and smells incredible too! He definitely feels pampered that’s for sure! My tabby cat Bruno had his very first grooming appointment with Emma a couple of weeks ago, and from the very first moment both Bruno and I felt completely relaxed. Emma has such a calm, gentle presence and it’s immediately clear that she truly understands cats. She is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Emma took the time to explain everything, treated Bruno with so much patience and care, and made the whole experience stress-free for him. Bruno had the best experience — he came home happy, calm, and looking (and smelling!) amazing. I’ve honestly never known him to smell so good. I found Emma via the vets as Cat groomers (good ones are hard to find) My usual groomer is now a 70 mile round trip so finding Emma was amazing luck. (she is 2 miles door to door) . Emma popped over to give our medium haired boy a a de-shedding and trouser tidy-up 🐈‍⬛️ he was most intrigued by the bag of tricks Emma brought and really enjoyed the silicone brush used - at times as though he was having a massage at a spa. By the end of his appointment he was almost dozing off and did infact fall asleep in my daughter's arms snuggled like a baby soon after - he never does this unless feeling poorly.
